I was at work one day, listening to Pandora when I saw a banner that said “Aubrey & The Three Migos, click here to buy tickets.”
I love Drake and I love Migos so I knew right then, that I wanted to go to the concert. My girlfriend and I hadn’t been to a concert yet and I knew that she liked Drake so as soon as I went on my lunch break I brought it up to her.
We went over the dates, locations (since there were going to be a lot of stops in our area) and cost. She decided that it would be my birthday gift and I was excited about it.
August 25, 2018
This was my first major concert. I’ve been to smaller concerts in the past, but I’ve never been to one as high energy as I knew this one would be.
I was super excited. The entire train ride there, I was bumping Migos and Drake trying to prepare myself. When we got to Madison Square Garden, it was a little less crowded than I thought it would be, but I think we were early. We got to our seats with ease and got some refreshments.
I honestly don’t remember the name of the artist who opened, but he was good.
Then Migos came out and did their thing. I love trap music and I was getting really excited. Dancing, singing, recording, you name it. Seats around us starting filling up more and more. Everyone’s energy was high so that also rubbed off on me.
DRAKE CAME OUT AND I WAS IN AWE. He was looking extra daddy-ish (LOL) I love all of his songs, his stage presence was amazing, the visuals on the stage…amazing. Everything was amazing.
Then Migos came back on stage and they did their thing, again. I don’t know if the people around me were Migos fans because their energy died down a little bit, but I was fully singing along and dancing. BUT WAIT, they performed Motorsport and I did hear and read rumors about Cardi B coming out on stage, but I didn’t want to get excited and then be disappointed. The minute I saw that pink wig emerge from the stairs next to the stage I started screaming. She in fact did come out and did her verse and I was on the verge of crying. Nothing else mattered in that moment.
Drake came back out to close the show, he did his classics
and some of his new songs from ‘Scorpion’ (which I bump every single day).
I thoroughly enjoyed my time and I can’t wait to see another great concert.
